You know, I really do consider myself a Man For All Seasons......

On a recent trip to London, I needed some whisky - so I picked up these two. One of them cost me six quid, the other one...…... not so much.

Tesco Special Reserve Blend (specially reserved for anyone with six quid) and the Legendary Yamazaki 18. Between them, I think they cover just about any occasion.

Just gave you a shout-out on my next post - thanks for introducing me to the awesomeness which is a Negroni! NickO

Sorry about that, Art 😀

But if you’ve had to give up drinking, my strong advice is don’t visit Europe. That was a pretty decent Scotch for seven bucks. Then, in Milan, you can buy a liter of decent table red wine for 1.25 euros (a buck and a half). Yes, it comes in a carton, but...

The Yamazaki is fantastic...

...and impossible to find anymore. I would argue that the Yamazaki 12 is almost/just as good for a lot less. But even that is almost extinct.

Yes it is, also see my next post!

I'll have to try the Yamazaki 12, too. It's funny, I recently saw a bottle of Hakushu 12 that was slightly more expensive than the first bottle of Hakushu 18 I bought about four years ago. I wish more people drank Scotch NickO

Hakushu is very good...

...but with a much ‘smokier’ flavor. I prefer Yamazaki but drank both when they were affordable and easily available.
