The Balkan staple - cevapi with kajmak, onions and beer ๐Ÿบ

 

Given that I have been to the old country, a food series would not be complete without one of the old staples - cevapi. For those uninitiated, minced meat rolls that you usually eat with freshly chopped onions, a pita-like bread (a bit different of course) and ideally with kajmak - a young cheese made from cream. Akbar is another standard accompaniment but I am not a huge fan personally, so none here ๐Ÿ˜Š๐Ÿคท๐Ÿปโ€โ™‚๏ธ


Depending on where you eat it the standard drink is either beer or yogurt, home made spirits are an option and if you are more โ€˜Westernโ€™ inclined, a Coke is also acceptable.
