. . . who was the head chef of the Rainbow Bar and Grill from 1972 until he passed away four years ago. Miguel was a chef's chef.
That's no exaggeration. When Wolfgang Puck ran Spago's a block away, I saw him coming in to the Rainbow's kitchen to dine. Twice.
Other chefs have taken Miguel's place since. And they've come close. But they can't capture Miguel's touch. He was the best, bar none.
