Sunday Harvest Before Church

Jun 30, 2024,14:16 PM

I took a quick stroll through the garden this morning, looking for culinary inspiration. Here's what I found:

A bug and a sunflower, both staring at me

Grapes on all three of our vines!

An interesting crop of tomatoes and peppers to add to our luncheon salad

More sunflowers, which are an unintended byproduct

of feeding birds on the wall above

Our blue scrub jay friend having a drink and grooming himself

Apricots collected last night from a neighbor's tree

That's about it in the garden.

I think I can come up with a nice salad for our lunch today (here is yesterday's)

PS - I also collected some fresh mint for Sangria (later)

Peppers were 5 minutes fresh from the plant ...

Sangria for me. Olé!
