Facing off with the mega-burger we have pheasant on Peruvian beans (known as cassoulet to some) with seared shrimp starter.



Pheasant thanks to a friend’s overly-full freezer.



Mexican yellow or Peruvian beans



Portuguese Rosé



Obligatory greens



Bread







Plated



Red specs are fresh chili 🌶

I haven't had pheasant since I moved away from my hunting grounds in the Midwest.

I had taken the plated photo before I poured on the apple-balsamic vinegar, olive oil and pheasant juice sauce. It was a little dry in the image (but not in the mouth). I wish we could have a gtg at my place so I could cook for y’all. Mike
