Moscow burrata

While cuisine from the former Soviet Union offers a breadth and depth akin to ‘European cuisine’ (on which more at a later point), this is fortunately not all one finds here. Even traditional Italian food can get a ‘local’ twist, which is highly interesting.
Here’s a recent example.
Now there’s nothing surprising or twisted about the first starter - it’s me after all, so there’s hardly a bad place or time for a tartare 😉
The second starter was the positive surprise - bruschetta with avocado, burrata and Kamchatka crab 🦀 Unbelievably delightful. The combination of the crab and burrata seems frequent (many restaurants) and it’s done for a good reason 😋
Finally a pizza with burrata and truffle oil. Perfect 👌🏻
Bon appetite!
