I am not vegan but...

I love cooking vegan dishes a lot, especially desserts. I love cooking vegan because it is very creative! It reminds of Auburn (or Duesenberg) Cord as both are forced to create creative solutions because of a lack of supplies. I almost feel like a laboratorian mixing together different things to get different results. It is a lot of fun. I have found this amazing vegan pumpkin pie recipe which is absoluetely fantastic. here is a pic of the pie

Is anyone here VEGAN?
By: Mostel : January 2nd, 2020-14:44
Dare I even mention the provocative WORD? Or perhaps, like myself, you are 'taking a break' from animal products as many of us do this time of year after the indulgence of the holidays? ? Any fun food you recommend? I do not like the word VEGAN, btw... to...
Yep, i am.

I do really like fastfood actually, so when i dont care about my health i eat many Hamburgers. I personally prefer the incredible burger from Nestle over the beyond-version for its healthier ingredients. As a vegan, you can basically eat whatever you want...
I am all in favour of people making right choices and ethical eating.

I eat meat but many of my friends are vegan (or vegetarian). My only reason for piping up here is a rebuttals the “slaughterhouse video comment”. Before you get too self-righteous about avoiding meat, you might want to check out the same YouTube for video...

As a meat eater you get that slaughterhouse thing plus the "industrial vegetable farm"-thing because animals do not grow bigger without lots of food and medicine. I think people should avoid harming others, so no, not every non-meat product is ethically c...
Thank you Reuven

I did not expect a single reply and there are many to read... the world is changing... I really appreciate this information... cauliflower is the new 'junk food' depending how you prepare it... haha
Thank you Reuven!

As I said, I try to avoid the word Vegan, which is divisive, except for this post, which--let's face it--a provocative post is fun... but yes... I am with you... and for whoever is reading this... it is a slow, gradual, cumulative journey... and as much a...
I just looked it up because i didnt knew the word.

Now i know you are a true trendsetter since the word "pescetarian" is not even thirty years old - but the concept is obviously much older. I would think Dr. No could have been a pescetarian back then in 1962 as well. He at least looks like one. Very cool!...
If 'perfect' is defined as 'minimally essential', then . . .

. . . Dr No's guacamole . . . . . . is literally a perfect dish. Consumed with carrot, celery, and daikon radish, a large helping contains virtually every nutrient one needs. Delicious, too. ;-) Of course, man does not live by guac alone. Garbanzo bean sa...

I think and agree that this is the most creative way of looking at the subject. Absolutely!!! And it is the most inspiring way as well. But I did not ask about it for any reason other than to see--perhaps--if there was a recipe or a way of thinking/imagin...
Not Vegan, but an Idea
By: colton_d : January 3rd, 2020-05:02
I echo the sentiments shared by others in growing weary of the factory farm way of doing things. There is an underlying problem with having no connection between the food on our plates, and how it actually got there. I have been working to eat meat-protei...

Hi, I am not vegan but I have about 4 vegan meals per week. Partly it is health- reducing red meat intake, saturated, etc. Partly it is about the environment- reducing the demand for meat, reducing carbon footprint, etc. And partly because I do love tofu ...
