It was 100% health driven and, boy, has it made a difference for her! I am simply amazed at the health benefits of a plant-based diet: her blood pressure is 110 / 70, her total cholesterol is under 100, her good HDL cholesterol is off the charts, her resting heart-rate is low 60s and her strength, stamina and recovery in the gym is phenomenal. Some of this may be gifted genetics, but she wasn’t putting up these numbers when she ate meat, that’s for sure. If I had the internal fortitude to follow her, I would. But the best I can do now is lean turkey and chicken and lots of seafood, similar to Descartes above.
