Harbinger of summer - some grilled octopus for lunch π
After almost scaling 30 degrees Centigrade on May Day, the recent cyclone with its rain has moved the weather more towards late autumn than summer. Still, one needs to try. So decided on something more summery for lunch, while waiting for the weather to catch up π
The first idea was to do it with salad, but as our resident salad maker was busy with a Star Wars marathon with the kids, I improvised with something a tad heavier π¦Ύ
As the octopus takes by far the longest, thatβs what I started off with.

After boiling it for ca. 45 minutes it needed to cool down for at least half an hour in oil, before getting grilledβ¦

This gave me time for some sweet potato mashβ¦

And peas π«

Before finally grilling the now cooled down and oiled octopus π
Maybe not as light as a salad but still quite βearlyβ summer in style. First time I grilled an octopus myself and overall quite happy with the results π
Hopefully something tasty on your plates this Sunday, too π½οΈ
Bon Appetit!
