Friday lunch with my pal Marc . . .

. . . at the best Lebanese restaurant around, Sahara in Pasadena.  (That list includes Skaf's, which is pretty damn good, too!)

Chicken and beef kabobs for Marc, vegetarian plate for me.  We shared the feta cheese and Kalamata olives platter.

Then I was on my way to Covina to pick up my latest cue, the snakewood / persimmon masterpiece shared earlier this week.  More pics to come in the next day or so . . .

. . . can't seem to prepare them properly. (Their falafel, too - not nearly as tasty as before.) Everything else is pretty much the same. According to Marc, Dad, and my uncles, the meat dishes are even better than before, though. So I left the grape leave...
