And there is a wide range of memories and emotions associated with him and his regime. There are some, who are strictly against, there is quite some nostalgia, too. Both camps tend to simplify things a bit, as is so often the case 🤷🏻‍♂️

I had the feeling in the past that Slovakia was much closer to Russia in the pre-2022 era than the Czech Republic 🤷🏻‍♂️ As for yearning after the past, I do not know. I used to work with some former Motokov employees and they certainly had fond memories o... 

However, it is certainly a head-scratcher. My train is long gone, so I can't speak for Czechs or Slovaks... It seems to be following a sinusoid nature of life: It is a bust as of now...

I hear what you are saying. Haven’t been living in my home country for 28 years and we have certainly grown apart. I love coming for a visit and enjoy the food and some old friendships but am horrified by the politics and the narrowing of beliefs that too... 

I've been back 4 times in the last 29 years.

Not my favorite type of beer but definitely par for the IPA course 👌🏻

Relating to the forced deportations of people from parts of Slovenia and Croatia, which were supposed to be fully germanized, to mainly Serbia. They were generally welcomed and treated quite nicely, which made it easy to use the concept in post-WW2 Yugosl...
