You did not get them from market, right? Fiddleheads are totally unkown here in Germany. Interesting menue!

One of the vendors forages. Fiddleheads are young fern fronds that have not opened. Not sure if all varieties are edible. They taste a bit like asparagus, but are a bit more bitter and grassy.
