I am at a Heurigen in Rodingersdorf, a nearby village and enjoying the simple things in life. Quite the antithesis to Haute Cuisine, but the value for money is unmatched in Austria.
Just look at these prices:
€1,50 for a glass of wine, €3,20 for a large beer
This set me back 6€
And yesterday I had a wonderful deer ragout:

The Kolarik family split up the businesses and Luftburg (where we went because of the kids) switched to Gösser as a bio alternative to Budvar (go figure), while Schweizerhaus still serves Budvar 🍻

yes the Heurigen are a very important part of our culture. I really enjoy going there for sime glasses of wine and a small bite.
