Details on dinner in a foil package

I had some questions about our pheasant dinner, so here’s a step by step rundown.

Put down a sheet of foil, and a slightly smaller piece of parchment paper. Fold over the edges as shown. Toss on your thinly sliced potatoes.

Add herbs generously (that’s all I had left)

Top with arrugala (rocket), watercress or spring mix

Now add the bell pepper and radishes.

Mushrooms on top, then time for salt, pepper, garlic butter, apple cider and squeeze of lemon.

Place your pheasant, duck, whatever on top (thawed and out of plastic first!)

Add more seasoning and butter on the meat, and close up your package.

Neatly and tightly is best unlike my messy example.

Place on engine, drive to girlfriend’s house and serve. Or you can use a conventional oven for 20-30 minutes.

I didn’t have any thawed meat to show you.

I substituted some pieces of lamb roasted by my friend Michael on Greek Orthodox Easter last Sunday

Do you need to adjust the cooking time depending on the engine capacity ?

Yes

Hemi will cook faster EFI the food falls off onto the exhaust manifold. Turbos and Superchargers the food is pureed!

Yes!

It blew a heater hose during its smog test yesterday! That’s why I happened to have the hood open for the foil package. Apparently this is unavailable in the USA so I will have to duplicate it somehow. ...

Car engine oven! Very clever!

Don't forget your food in the car though! That'll lead to a nasty problem! And it'll encourage animals to climb into your car and perhaps chew the wiring/hoses!
