Had a cosy dinner with some friends over antipasta and some entrees.
An elegant and fruity Rose champagne to start the ball rolling---a good foil for the antipasta
The Almaviva was a bit closed on the nose,but the palate was replete with cassis,some red fruit with finely grained tannins and a long finish.Not full bodied, and lacked a bit of complexity which should develop more in years to come,but was a good pairing with the antipasta and entree.
No meal will be complete without the watch scan,and on this occasion,my favourite moonphase watch!

Yes i think the 02 is more than ready.
Drank that some ten years ago and was surprisingly developed then with layers of complexity---one of my favourite vintage of this wine. if i'm lucky,i might just have one bottle lying 're making me look for it. Enjoy it!!
