Thank you Bill. It was a nice evening and the wine didn’t disappoint, but this Angelus is built to last.

I think 10 more years in the cellar and it will be magnificent. Side by side with the 1990 the ‘90 is drinking better now, but in my opinion the 2000 is the better wine and will show remarkably 2028-2050. Strong spine with oak and black fruit and in the b...

At the contrary!

Excellent, but needs another 7-10 years to enter prime.

It’s not a wine for the faint of heart. It’s a powerhouse. I can’t wait until the oak and tannins mellow and this will be a very strong yet elegant and experience.

Thanks for the notes. Not surprising that a 20 yo high quality Bordeaux from a great vintage will need A LOT of time.

Hedonism aside, there is much intellectual interest in following a wine's trajectory, so I love working through a case over the years even though it's infanticide for some of the bottles. When a wine shuts down vs opens up (and maybe shuts down again) is ...

100% agreed my friend. And if it’s good enough for James Bond in Casino Royale and No Time to Die…

It’s almost good enough for us. Kidding aside 1990, 2000 and 2005 Angelus are as good as it gets from St. Emilion in my opinion.

Had the 1990
