A superb bourbon of 8 years of age: Stagg Junior
65% alcohol with genuine colour.
Smells like many bourbons a bit like nail polish, but only a little.
Dilutet down to 48% alcohol it retains almost all taste of 65 %.
65% is too much alcohol to drink, way too much!
Smell: quite sweet, hardly any smoke, exotic fruits and ... poppcorn!
Taste: quite complex, sweet, sweet poppcorn and sweet exotic fruits with a nice not too bitter oak finish, quite a long finish.
A whisky that can not find ist match in a scotch of same age!

A small sipp is possible but even that is nothing to do too often.
At 48% it is quite enjoyable, very sweet 🥃
There is also a 12 year old as you will know
Unfortunately not that available in my area. I was thinking single malt is the good stuff but this bourbon can take them on ... its horns 😀 🥃
I used to drink Bookers..
Also a “bespoke” high proof bourbon but I tired of it eventually...I like 80/90 proof whiskeys with maybe a few drops of water..but generally I prefer it neat.

Maximum is 101 proof for drinking. However, I can see and taste that a higher proof comes with more flavours. The whisky is "pushing" the flavours is what "we" say here.
I wouldn't know where to get one
It seems to be quite expensive and quite rare, too. I am hapoy enough to have discovered Stagg Junior and even more happy that the whisky store near my hometown has got it in stock. Even the Junior is not that available here in Germany. That is why I just...
