1. Pasta with mushrooms and truffles
2. Cold seafood: an oyster, raw scallops, cooked but chilled lobster and a giant shrimp
3. 14 ounce ribeye
After 5 hours decanted and several sips I can now properly review this wine. Nose of meadow fields, wet crushed stone and elegant red and blue fruit. Medium to heavy bodied. Fresh red and blue fruit on the palette. The finish is lingering with minerality, and a fine balance of acidity, mildly clingy tannins and a lingering marriage of fruit and soil. 95 pts.
