I’m sure it was well intentioned but.....
A “friend” of mine laid a bottle of this on me today and then I read the review.. scotchnoob.com I ask you in what context does the word “rancidity” take on a positive overtone??? ...
It could have taken on notes of rancidity...
...but it didn't, just the opposite, in fact. Trying my hardest here : )
Well it did say..
A rest in the glass disperses the rancidity and somewhat brightens the fruits. At least the “rancidity” was dispersed!!!!😳
It’s rancidity pales in comparison to its other fine attributes..
It’s sharp and biting nose paired with an unctuous, oily body and hairy mouthfeel really set this dram apart from its less fetid peers.
Hilarious post! To be fair to this company, I looked for a second review online, but the first that I found isn't really much better (even if "rancidity" or "rancio" aren't mentioned)...
Who knows, maybe Wolfburn are reading us and tomorrow they'll post a reply to this thread and provide their perspective, which of course they'd be most welcome to do. So far, not looking good! ;-) Thanks for sharing.

The best part was when he told me he asked the liquor store owner for something really “unusual” because I really knew scotch and loved it so much. 🤨
