The ‘82 is suave but showing some green. Not soil grit and definitely not corked. So I wouldn’t give it RP’s inflates 100 pts but 94-95.
Bill do you think it’s bottle variation or a manifestation of bretts taking a detour from barnyard to vegetable patch? Fruit and balance still there and nose excellent just aftertaste has some green.

A bit surprised by the green notes at the finish---not noticed among the other 82 clarets i have tasted

But I am not a fan of any green notes unless it’s a purposeful and gentle herb note on the nose in some of the more exotic wines. Anyway, all and all a very nice wine, but I chalk up the slight green notes to bottle variation. I’ll have to drink another b...
