Looks like a fun night!
Funnily enough I had a 95 pichon yesterday evening with some friends together with an 89 Chave.
I thought the pichon was great and still going strong. It was wearing its 20+ years very well I thought.

that must be some dinner. How was the grand reserva 904 ? If memory serves me,it shold be complexed with rich fruit on the palate and enjoyable---haven't had it in years and might have a couple of bottles somewhere Best henry

That is how I remember it also. This particular bottle seemed not as good. It was not bad or corked but just not as good as I remembered. I have the balance of a six pack to dig back in and see if it on a down swing. I did also have two great surprises on...

Will try to locate my 904s to give it a shot! I am having good experiences with aged white burgundy and your your tasting seems to reaffirm their aging potential---mainly with good growths--perhaps 'vielle vignes'has something to do with it. The bas armag...

Chave first, then Pichon. This was my second ‘older’ Chave (an ‘86) - fun experience!
