After looking at your photos, I couldn't resist, had to have my fix at a small Vietnamese owned Cafe.

It has been raining for the past 11 hours, alternating between heavy downpour to light rain in Singapore. So, having pho is really great. Comforting.

Pho is my wife’s suggestion. You are are foodie- what do you think?

Can you elaborate ?..,

 By: Cpt Scarlet : December 7th, 2019-06:24
You’ve lost me 🤔

Pho is a Vietnamese soup

 By: ChristianDK : December 7th, 2019-06:28
It’s fantastic! Right now I am producing the stock from 5 kg of cow bones. It will boil for 18 hours. From that I can prepare different dishes... Soups and sauces. It is very healthy and some claim it has an anti-inflammatory effect in the body. most impo...

Yes,...

It sounds delicious.

Dear Cpt. If you havent tried Pho yet...

I really urge you to try it next time you get the opportunity. I have a feeling you would love it

I plan to make my own over the next couple of weeks 👌

“They” say that phở is derived from the French,pot-au-feu.

Just did my chicken, beef and vegetable broth yesterday

Now working on tomato soup, that my daughter requested Sautéed onions and tomatoes...and a little stout for the cook ...

this looks very promising

It looks like you got a lot of stock. What are your other plans with it? I really enjoy this kind of cooking. Its almost meditation for me.

Cooking is relaxing indeed

I use the broth as a basis for all of my soups and sauces. My daughters favorite are my grandfather’s noodles in the broth. To make them use 1/3 melted butter, 2/3 flour and an egg, mixed into the consistency of pancake batter. Once done bring the broth t...

Thanks for that info 👍 [nt]

Fantastic 😋 thank You for that!

 By: ChristianDK : December 8th, 2019-03:22
I want to give that a try. I got plenty of broth now. I’ve run it through a fine siff but in considering filtering it further through a tea towl. Do you do that? Tomorrow will be Pho. My nose is a bit “full of it” right now.

Yes sir!

 By: Wojo : December 8th, 2019-14:57
I filter through a fine sieve. You had me dreaming of Pho all day, maybe I should make some tomorrow. How did it turn out?

Thank you for the tip!

 By: ChristianDK : December 10th, 2019-20:57
The Pho turned out really well. I just made a separate post about it 😊

I love Pho in the winter. There’s a restaurant on Baxter Street in NYC that is probably the best Vietnamese place in NYC. They haven’t changed prices since 1985.

As good as the place is, I would love to go to Vietnam and see how much better the food is there.

It is worth it.

 By: ChristianDK : December 7th, 2019-08:49
I spent four days in Hanoi. The food was worth the trip alone. The street kichens are great but the real treat was at some of the high end places that make a fusion of Vietnamese and French kitchen. As you know, Vietnam was a French colony and the food th...

Delicious, a good Pho is in the top five of my fav food ever.

I'm lucky to have a vietnamese friend, so I have enjoyed some delicious Pho for the past fifteen years, some of them in Asia, and a very good one in a Vietnamese restaurant in Brussels. Enjoy yours when it's finished, I'll be here drooling. Vte

me as well :-) I have it every time i go to a good Vietnamese restaurant.

 By: ChristianDK : December 7th, 2019-12:47
you are lucky, because finding a really good Pho is not that easy. Our little place is popular among the vietnamese population in Denmark because of the Pho. They even travel from other cities in Denmark to eat it at this place.

I've found a pic from the last time I went to the restaurant in Brussels.

 By: VMM : December 7th, 2019-15:54
I could eat this twice a week for the rest of my life, I love it. Vte ...

Oh yum yum 😋

 By: ChristianDK : December 8th, 2019-03:25
I’m the same. Tomorrow it will be on the menu 😛

Thank you so much my friend

 By: ChristianDK : December 8th, 2019-03:28
I promise to post the final dish. This is what it looked like after taking out the bones. I think I will run it through a fine filter. ...

Thank you 😊 yes, it lovely and so easy.

It just requires patience.
