Yes, but it’s such a different proposition.

I do know several collectors for whom the Elegante is their first entry to Journe.
I too would like to see a new entry level piece, but I think to be fair I shouldn’t qualify for such a watch. And there’s the big issue now, how can he ensure such a watch finds its way (for the most part) to new customers, young collectors etc as with the original intent of the CB. (Of course the CB was also bought by seasoned collectors too, but the point was until just a few ears ago it was also easily accessible to the young / new collector).

Nothing to say, just a picture.

Maybe I will say one thing; what a great idea by F.P. to have a watch like this in the collection. I don’t mean the dial, or the case. Rather the original idea / placement of the CB in the collection, the original pricing and its role as an entry to the b...

What more praise can one say about the CB... so many accolades, the picture does it :)

Not entirely convinced about the Elegante however, I need to see it in person I think...

I’m glad to have added a CB to my collection before the sharp acceleration in prices. As it is, there are at least two other FPJ pieces I dream of owning but they appear to be continually climbing beyond what I’d be willing to pay. I’m just happy to enjoy...

I feel watch collecting has taken a weird turn where entry level is no longer entry level.

5711, Royal Oak, CB, etc.—the fact that these are now more difficult to obtain than models triple their cost means that these brands almost don’t really have a true entry level. That said, I think it says a lot about FPJ that the entry level—or whatever w...

For sure F.P. went further than most others in conceiving this idea of a entry level or young collectors watch.

The question I have now is can he ever do this again? Unlikely right, given the demand for the brand today. It’s a real shame. Have others done something similar? Not that I can easily recall. Yes, maybe in the case of PP the Calatrava or at one point the...

Beautiful piece and Photo Jay!

What’s the next CB?

In terms of what’s the next entry level / young collector piece that’s priced with this in mind, I don’t know.

My guess is Journe can never do this again given the demand / exposure that now exists. Unless of course they commit to selling to new customers only, and trying to ensure that this doesn’t immediately result in a flip for profit (something which is near ...

Like you i think the Elegante picked up the place from the CB

I really hope FPJ will give us a new ,,Entry level,, watch at some point .

Yes, but it’s such a different proposition.

The Elegante seem to be the new entry level piece...

But only because the CB is out of reach. I started with FPJ through Elegante Titalyt 14 months back where there was hardly any demand and I was able to get my piece immediately. Right now, I have been told of a long waitlist for both Elegante Titanium and...
