If you pull the crown out one notch, depending on which direction you turn the crown you will either move the date/day together, but if you turn it in the other direction you will only move the day. Off the top of my head I forget which direction is which and I don't want to wake the wife up to go get my watch out of the bedroom, but essentially depends which direction you turn the crown.

By turning the crown forward you can change the Day (ie Mon, Tues, Wed... ) independently. Once you match up the correct Day with the Date you can then turn the crown backward to advance the Day and Date simultaneously. Hope that helps. This message has b...
