Wait... my Elegante is a quartz?! šŸ¤Ŗ

the sense of occasion when it sets the time after hibernation, and the pleasure I get wearing it makes the quartz thing irrelevant. In fact thatā€™s part of its appeal to me and what makes the Elegante so unique. A unique and interesting backstory.

I have a feeling you will feel the same way once you have one in your collection. Good luck with your decision!

So original and different But I adore the case and dial I went to ginotti today and tried Ginoā€™s own elegante, liked it and it felt absolutely 100% comfortable on the wrist! Unfortunately I seem to have a huge problem with the movement... being quartz I w...

I understand your concerns

and I too would not usually buy a quartz watch but I just bought the exact same Elegante ten days ago! It is too gorgeous looking a watch to dismiss! ...

Thanks!

I hope not everyone will answer this way or it will cost me money Iā€™m afraid šŸ˜‚

believe me it is money well spent as the watch will provide you with much more pleasure for the money you spent on it.

Donā€™t hesitate and spent spent spent

My complaint is that a quartz has no soul... AND that it is too cheap for an expensive watch I donā€™t like a 300 euro movement in a 10-20-30 K watch But.... if you think about it? How much would one Rolex movement cost? I bet it no more than 300 or 400 eur...

Exactly my friend

I also think by this logic that one shouldn't just judge the elegante by the movement. As a package, from the unique FPJ design to the usability of the watch to the beauty of the case, I strongly think it is much more than the sum of its parts. Plus, one ...

Seriously Beautiful Watch ā€”

I am looking forward to trying one on the next time I am in NYC.

I had the same apprehension

but am so happy that I got over it. I really enjoy my elegante. Itā€™s an amazing watch!

Am reluctant to pay that much for a non thermocompensated movement. Plus I prefer numbers aligned not in a radial pattern

ā€œ Non thermocompensated movementā€?

Please tell me more?

I think every elegance owner had the same struggle

Before you actually put one on! As the above mentioned - the innovation, years of development and the function of being a daily watch totally make me forget itā€™s a quartz. I mean - the sense of pleasure it gives you already outweigh the fact that you need...

I'm not quite there, but I did buy one for my wife :)

I love the concept but I find I don't have enough days in the week to wear my current collection so I don't see myself buying an Elegante for me to wear. That said, I bought a diamond bezel version for my wife and she absolutely loves it... she's not into...

I've had one for a while now

and love it. Great daily wear watch. But then I have no issues with quartz especially not one that is so nicely crafted.
