Testing this new costum strap for my Chronometre Bleu
Oct 27, 2019,02:02 AM
A lighter blue than the standard and with a tanning with contrast. Otherwise made to the exact F.P. Journe specifications. Jean Rousseau, Paris.
The issue I have had with the standard strap is that as it gets older and sweaty, it will look almost black. I will see how this works out in the long run. As usual, the IPhone doesnβt respresent colors very well, but I can say It is quite a lighter shade and it gives the watch a more informal feeling than standard blue.

Yes, getting a new strap is the next best remedy when we have a craving for more watches. The. CB is difficult to pair, since the blue is so distinct. I feel this turned out ok and is still something different than the original blue.
Thank you Mahesh

Jean Rousseau Paris has the specific drawings for the standard strap so they can do it exactly or with variation to the standard.
Great choice Christian....

The strap looks perfect and mirrors the subtle shade difference in the sub dial. Enjoy π₯

I agree it can be hard to pair, if you are trying to be a close match with the blue. I find it works very well if you go for a strong contrast (orange, green/camo or the turquoise I recently picked up). The below is my usual alternative to the blue/navy s...
Grey works really well. I have one as well.

And Also plays well with the Tantalum. I have an old cognac brown custom strap from Camille Fournet that I like. The green I have to pick up next time. Thank you, my friend ππ
It is a future classic.

Glad to know JR has the exact specs for FPJ. Does it come with the quick release curved spring bars ? Itβs only until very recently that Iβve discovered that straps with the curved spring bars look nicer straps with the normal straight springbars.
Thank you π

Yes they come with the quick release spring bars. When I mentioned that I wanted it to the exact specifications (except the length and leather) the lady pulled out a CAD drawing from FPJ with exact measurements and specs.
thank you so much for your kind words, Luca :-)

I have had various experiences with JR, but I think this time it went really well. I think tomorrow I will take some more pictures of it to keep, so I can see how it develops. best, Christian BTW i love the light blue strap in your profile pic!

I agree - not lighter than this. However, I suspect it will get darker with time.
