Sunny Monday in Tokyo

Feb 23, 2020,22:12 PM

Encouraged by everyones warm welcome towards my first post, I thought Ill contribute some more shots of my new Reso smile

Having woken up to a very sunny Monday (public holiday) in Tokyo,  I thought this is a great excuse to go outside and take a few photos of my resonance, which I cant seem to physically remove from my wrist! Just to do a brief intro as well, my name is Jordan, I currently work in Tokyo, but I moved over here from London, which I consider my home. My first decent watch was a Rolex Explorer I, which I received in 2003 from my parents and is a watch that I have to this day and the watch that started all this madness. I dont consider myself a collector in anyway, in fact I prefer to have just a few belongings that I enjoy more frequently, though I don't see anything wrong with someone wanting to curate a world class collection etc, just personal preference. I tend to sway towards watches that have a clear meaning as to why they were conceived. So for example the resonance is one such watch, but other watches in my collection would be watches like the Patek Philippe Aquanaut, a luxury sport watch take using a rubber strap, or the explorer, just a solid 3 hander that was used back in the day for well exploring! Hope to keep learning on this forum smile

French shoe and French watchmaker smile

Just stunning.

Can stare at this forever.

My 1st watch.

Also, nice shoes - paraboots? That brand is super popular in Japan for some reason. Lots of good eats in Tokyo!

The shoes is J M WESTON GOLF DERBY! [nt]

But they are very similar to the paraboots you mentioned and you're right, they are both extremely popular in japan. I like JMs due to the more micro sizing they provide in terms of widths!

Love the watches, and love the shoes too

The Weston Golf are more refined than the Paraboot, but seeing that they cost at least twice as much, I'd still go with the Paraboot. I love the Demi-Chasse model, though.

Ah I see

I love the 1st gen symmetrical dials but i do prefer this navy blue print as opposed to the black so its hard to say! Cant go wrong with any resonance tbh~
