FPJ without back movement shots don't justify it's presence here IMHO.

 By: Pun : April 29th, 2020-06:32
Normally back is equally, if not better, worth looking at when it's FPJ!

Are you for real?

 By: cmmnsens : April 29th, 2020-06:54
I will happily stop posting any FPJ (front or back) since “it’s not worthy” of your standards.

I think just kidding!

I am happy you posted these! Please keep posting FPJ!

I think it’s pretty clear. No other way to interpret it.

 By: cmmnsens : April 29th, 2020-09:13
You can add a happy tone to it and still means the same

Well, then he's best ignored. More FPJ appreciation for the rest of us.

You brought us the first live pictures of these new dials I've seen here. That deserves applause, not a hard time.

🙏🏽 [nt]

I’m sure that you didn’t mean the way that post sounds ...

It’s a great looking FPJ and we would love to see a shot of the movement.

☹️ [nt]

I was really excited when I saw the stock picture [s but this is kind of meh

Hopefully it will look better in the metal. I think it’s a huge improvement on the last....interesting that we have a PR on an automatic watch

What do you think about the frames around the windows?

 By: LK : April 29th, 2020-08:13
As much as I like guilloche, I think the version of the QP without guilloche frames the windows better, in the sense that the visual weight of the date relative to the rest of the dials is more to my liking.

I see your point, but I do like the frames here as it adds legibility to the already best legibility in a QP.

Also, adds some sense of class and matches the applied numerals.

agree 100% [nt]

Thoughts on FPJ design...

 By: LX (Alex) : April 29th, 2020-08:35
Apart from their technical prowess, I love how FPJ came up with an absolutely unique design language that is both classical/conservative/timeless AND playful/extravagant/youthful at the same time! The number of USPs of this company is probably unmatched b...

Which one did you take?

 By: Ravenart : April 29th, 2020-08:37
Both metals look breathe taking with the guilloche dial.

Excellent choice [nt]

I want to love this...

 By: mdg : April 29th, 2020-09:06
..but the day and month windows are far too low...they messed with a very basic rule of design and it doesn't pay off here.

I'm not sold on this watch.

 By: TheMadDruid : April 29th, 2020-10:00
And I wasn't sold on the previous iteration either. If there is a Journe which is not a "Journe" the QP is it. I don't know how to explain that ridiculous statement but something about these watches just misses for me. I also like Perpetuals to have a moo...

I think the lighter dial of this new version will have broader appeal. I hear what you're saying.

 By: cmmnsens : April 29th, 2020-10:58
I'm not big on calendar watches, but for me this blue version was the closest I came to considering one. I really liked it on my wrist.

Hmm.

 By: TheMadDruid : April 29th, 2020-14:14
As always it has to be seen in person to know.

I think the fact that this is instant change versus drag is a huge horological feat. Even PP only does it on its

Super grand complications. The absence of the moon I think makes the dial cleaner. Putting the leap years where they are is an excellent idea. My gripe is that u die in the preowned market with these

Great to see these live pictures Alex. Really appreciate it!

 By: ChristianDK : April 29th, 2020-10:07
It’s interesting that I always liked the old dial although I did find it a little too classist and in the heavy side. it think this one is much better. It feels more modern. My main objection is rather that I’m not so attracted to PC watches. They simply ...

The previous version was quite unique.

 By: cmmnsens : April 29th, 2020-11:00
This is definitely more classic Journe especially with the lighter dial. It's basically a Perpetual CS.

Thank you Alex for these shots

I must say that I dig and like the new QP by FPJ

I really really really want to love it, but...

 By: IndieFan : May 2nd, 2020-04:36
I need to see it in the metal. I really want to add a Journe perpetual calendar to my collection but constant dreams of the (very unlikely) day FPJ release a Perpetual Calendar Chrono have held me back! I know, I know, he doesn't like multi-complications,...
