I was also trying to think of some possible Patek MOP dials for men, but couldn't come up with any recent models (though there must be something I'm forgetting! :-)

For ladies it's not so uncommon, like the 7200 LE you mentioned, or even pieces from the current collection... For instance, there's presently a Gondolo 4972, or the Aquanaut 5072, or also this beautiful 4899 in the Calatrava collection:

But all *way* too feminine for me as well, I'm not sure I was the intended recipient! ;-)

I should definitely ask to see some of these MOP Journes once I pass by a Boutique, if they have anything to show me! Cheers.

Mother (of Pearl).

I’m sharing a watch recently purchased by a friend of mine. I just got to see it in the metal a week or so ago and it was even more appealing in person. I don’t think we see many of these generally, although I do know we have at least one Platinum version...

Love the guilloche work...

I still don't know how I feel about Mother of Pearl dials.... Would have to see it in person, I don't despise Mother of Pearl dials, like I usually despise lots of diamonds on watches, just have some pre-conceived reservations which, honestly, could be ba...

This is not your Rolex MOP, which I think it what a lot of us have seen.

I will say it took many passes for me to “get” these editions, and even still I think I’d prefer a full MOP dial (or as close as one can get to it).

That's interesting that you would opt for a full Mother for Pearl dial, not something I thought you would say...

But that is the beauty of diversity in horology right, being able to appreciate different movements, dials, cases, and straps?

If you look around you’ll see Journe has done several references with MOP dials (see Fab’s link below for one example, the Sincere Resonance).

There are also other Resonances, Optimums etc. Lots of eye candy to distract you as the US tries to keep itself together tomorrow.

Must look superb in person (as it does in the pictures)! I love artistic/creative dials but I never owned one in MOP...at least on a theoretical level I must admit it's a temptation! ;-)

As I was looking for some info on FPJ's Collection Boutique Nacre, I came across this very interesting, old thread on our very forum by Andrew Daley: www.watchprosite.com Cheers.

Some old names in that thread. And the Sincere Black MOP Resonance, I always liked it and of course in hindsight it’s now one of those stand out pieces.

You know, the other MOP watch that I’ve really been attracted to in recent years was Patek’s 7200 with the blue MOP (was it blue?) which was launched for the NY Exhibition in 2017 (even with the diamond markers). Not for me, it’s a little feminine. But I ...

While this piece could make a great entry into the world of Journe

 By: TheMadDruid : November 3rd, 2020-05:29
it could also make a great collection of one for the brand. I’d not seen this until now. I’ve only seen Chris’s MOP up close and it sold me on these dials. But the one you’re holding here may be the most beautiful Journe dial I’ve seen. It is perfectly ha...

It’s a very different feel / look from the Platinum for sure, both beautiful watches but very very different presence on the wrist I think.

Seeing this one reminded me of seeing your Optimum, it was just a wow. All the elements together really work.

Amazing how perfect the MOP insert is cut around the date window, moon phase etc...

Congratulations to your friend. He did extremely well.

That second picture is mind blowing. It’s probably the nicest Nacre dial I have ever seen. Like you I took some passes to appreciate the anacre pieces. The more I see the more I love them. Sadly they are now a thing of the past. Thanks for posting these. ...

He did well on this one, it’s an usual and rarely seen dial.

Is there a plan for something else to replace them going forward?

Sadly not.

I Was talking to the director of the dial facility about the Nacre dials. I praised Them and he agreed that they are beautiful but they are difficult because of the failure rate. The problem is that the cutouts are so complex and that MOP os a brittle and...

I'm new to this forum and I like your pictures very much! I'd like to share 2 photos of my CS in MOP dial and rose gold case. It was hard to capture the different colors reflected from the dial, so it is true that the real thing is more stunning than the ...
