François Friday - Getting the gang together. And, is the gang complete?

 By: Jay (Eire) : March 20th, 2020-08:10
I don’t believe I’ve ever had these together in one place before, let alone taken a picture. In any event, hopefully brightening up Friday and the weekend for everyone with a gaggle of Journe. I’d be curious to what people think about this particular spre...

CB for me, the digital counter second!

 By: K-Lo : March 20th, 2020-08:15
Don’t know enough to suggest anything but I’ll just admire!

The other two yes, maybe,..

 By: K-Lo : March 20th, 2020-10:00
Get an Octa Lune, and maybe a full gold bracelet tourb which I think is pure BOSS status.

Way too rich for me.

 By: Jay (Eire) : March 20th, 2020-16:15
Octa Lune is an interesting call, I wasn’t expecting that one. The T is the obvious missing one, and FP’s choice which is the Optimum. For me the T is not that appealing, but an Optimum would be nice.

🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔

You have some thinking to do, Dear Sir.

That would be a great addition ...

 By: als1678 : March 20th, 2020-15:27
If you have to keep the number constant - I love the resonance as an intellectual concept but I don't find it so enjoyable in reality. Te VH classic is almost on the other and of the spectrum, a pure emotion.

Personally, and I’ve said this here before, the Resonance is THE Journe.

 By: Jay (Eire) : March 20th, 2020-17:49
Mine is old, and with the white gold dial does not have the same presence as the others of the same era. But I do enjoy it on the wrist, because it’s a little more subtle. The Classic I’ve chased for a while and had some near misses, but I’m afraid it’s n...

first thing first...impressive collection you've got - I admire your brand loyalty !

 By: mahesh : March 20th, 2020-08:53
Tourbillon will be an obvious choice to add to your collection, but a Black label would differentiate it ? (may be a T10 or T30 also) or swap the Vagabondage 2 to a Vagabondage 1 you shd keep CB & Resonance IMHO but then i'll let go Centigraph...but that ...

Thanks Mahesh.

Firstly I’m not seriously considering any change, it was more an exercise to see how our forum members think. Always interesting to hear other people’s viewpoints. Re the Vagabondage, the II is absolutely my favourite. Visually more pleasing than the VI, ...

Yes. That would be a good addition.

 By: Jay (Eire) : March 20th, 2020-17:58
The Optimum is probably my favourite of those that might be within reach.

Firstly - that strap on the resonance looks cool AF

 By: hewitgar : March 20th, 2020-09:49
I’d add the Optimum myself. Or trade a couple into a T

You NEED to add the quantieme perpetuel, in any metal.

How to get it without letting something go? harvest some “trees”😂😂😂 Impressive collection.

Yes, need to find those trees!

 By: Jay (Eire) : March 20th, 2020-18:01
The QP, a beautiful watch but the modern Perpetual loses some of that Journe appeal for me. A great looking watch, and a super layout for the information you need, but design language that appeals to me.

These should work

...

I don’t think anything is missing ...

 By: ChristianDK : March 20th, 2020-12:00
Especially not if you had to let something go. You have chosen each piece after careful consideration, from what I understand from previous posts. I think the most important in collecting, is to find your own crop on the brand. These are all great pieces ...

Thanks Christian.

 By: Jay (Eire) : March 20th, 2020-18:11
To be clear, the question was merely to hear other’s views and how they might think about putting a little Journe bunch together. I’m pretty happy with this foursome and it’s at this point clearly the core of my collecting. There’s no tiredness or fatigue...

Well noted 😊

 By: ChristianDK : March 20th, 2020-23:29
As you say, they each hold their place, which makes a lot sense as a curating approach. I wholeheartedly agree on the T10. That is a dream watch for me as well. Although it would take a lot of luck and money to realize.

A well thought after collection.

 By: Watchonthewrists : March 20th, 2020-13:18
Don’t sell anything. Just try to safe up for that Tourbillon to add in the future if possible

No intentions of selling or trading any of them....

 By: Jay (Eire) : March 20th, 2020-18:12
Another vote for a Tourbillon. Do you have a favourite?

That’s a nice choice. [nt]

 By: Jay (Eire) : March 21st, 2020-11:09

Ooooh I just wet my pants [nt]

By: Mohannad (aka Riddler) : March 21st, 2020-12:13

You could absolutely be content with that foursome.

 By: TheMadDruid : March 20th, 2020-13:57
I guess if they were mine I would be tempted to unload the Vagabondage and get the Optimum; or a tourbillon.

100% content with this group, no question about that.

 By: Jay (Eire) : March 20th, 2020-18:14
Hypothetical question only. I think the Vagabondage, which you’ve hand in your own hands, is not to everyone’s taste. And for sure, it doesn’t have the wrist presence that a Optimum or Tourbillon might have. I will say the black dial rose gold case Optimu...

Maybe something in Steel? :)

 By: IndieFan : March 20th, 2020-16:57
It seems you have all the metals covered... except steel! So, grow a few money trees and get something in steel, and the RM would be a perfect addition to your collection if your trees grow well! If not, my vote is for an Optimum, black label or a dial th...

No bells for me I think!

 By: Jay (Eire) : March 20th, 2020-18:16
An older RM is appealing. But as I mentioned above to our resident (Mad) Druid Optimum with a rose gold case and black dial is very appealing. 40mm. If it was 38mm I’d be thinking more though.

You seem to be asking without asking.

 By: TheMadDruid : March 20th, 2020-19:48
...

BINGO !

 By: Jay (Eire) : March 21st, 2020-11:08
And a nice big dial for our aging eyes!

Gosh, how many FPJ have you got!?

 By: ianny : March 22nd, 2020-12:01
This is exquisite. Congrats. Best, Ian

Some.

 By: TheMadDruid : March 22nd, 2020-17:15
😃

FPJ's are great watches

By: Jari from Finland : March 28th, 2020-11:57
I am a bit puzzled if there really is a piece that you let go. Interesting to see what will be your next FPJ. I know some people who have FPJ, but unfortunately that brand is out of my price range.

Thanks for checking in Jari.

 By: Jay (Eire) : March 28th, 2020-12:28
There is really no piece I could see letting go willingly. The question was more to see what other people’s opinions might be. There are several approaches to a four watch Journe collection, and numerous notable pieces in his back catalogue which could be...
