Miss my PT Rattrapante

Finally back to my living city after a long travel regulation period. I admit that the first thing I do is to play around my PT Rattrapante. I complain about it, but I still love it. People asking why I say it’s mechanics is not as good as PP or AL. I think I should clarify a bit. The design of the caliber is absolutely great. It’s more simple and clean than PP or AL so it is thinner than both of them, more friendly for my tiny wrist. I should say maybe it’s mine sample has the issue of the reset, one hand can back to its position as normal, but another hand ( the white one) will shake back and forth for about two three times and cost about .... 0.5secs? I assume people expect rattrapante to capture or calculate the very specific and accurate time difference so of course it is out of out torrence expectation. Well, but at these days who the hell is using rattrapante for racing? so.... it’s fine, just not perfect enough. And I am sure my 5370P does excellent job both hands can back to the position immediately simultaneously. here are some pics to show you what I mean. I use iPhone continuous photo taking and choose some to show you the moment that the shaking happens. You can notice the silver hand back to the position immediately but meanwhile the white hand is shaking.

I Think perhaps a service is needed, Dustin? Other owners can comment if they have that experience, it it is not what I saw in those I have played with. Best Christian

Your pictures show the problem, and that would certainly be annoying.

Like Christian said, perhaps a service with a note from you and your pictures?

I would agree with you. That would bother me too.

I hope a service will make it perfect for you. Best of luck. It is a beautiful watch.
