A jaw dropping experience

May 20, 2022,18:34 PM

Today I brought my beloved CS to watchmaking school. We worked with chronometer timing, and my friends at school encouraged me to put my CS on the timer.

It was a jaw dropping experience for all of us. the watch preformed with amazing accuracy.

The mean deviation was +01.1 seconds per second. day, and with an average amplitude of 308 degrees for the 6 positions. It is truely a CHRONOMETER SOUVERAIN.

I'm really lucky to own one šŸ˜Š

I have really caught the Elegante bug lately. I like to rotate pieces for a few days. However - I just canā€™t take this one off . Itā€™s so special - the dance of the hands when it ā€œwakes upā€ and the luminous dial. Itā€™s feather light due to the titanium cons...

Oh man. That is so good.

Iā€™m really happy that I settled on the grey dial. I had a long debate over this or the black dial. First with Carlson from the NYC boutique. First I was set on the BL but he convinced me to go this route as the texture catches the light so nicely and is m...

Great pic Christian

Was always intrigued by the case of the Elegante. I requested one in titanium recently -- something to look forward to! I also had the opportunity to try on the ti AR2 this weekend, the dial is striking and really quite amazing in yellow. I do wish they r...

Fantastic šŸ¤— then you really have something to look forward to. Iā€™ve had mine for a couple of years and the more I wear it the more I realize how special it is.

The ti AR2 is one of the candidates for my next FPJ. Itā€™s so nice in titanium. My only quibble that I think he raised the price to much on this one. Wishing you a great weekend šŸ˜Š

It documents what I have experienced on the wrist for so many years. That the CS, if properly adjusted is a razor precise movement. Very, very difficult to beat. Journe is not just about style, complications and pushing innovation. At the heart of it all ...

Dear Christian, I totally agree with you. F.P. Journe is the watchmaking of the highest echelon; I find that his watches are created according to the following formula: Embeded in history of watchmaking x Derived from finding solutions to the most difficu...

thank you, Robert. Hopefully the test of my patience will end soon :-)

I like your formula. I think it sums up perfectly the challenge and use of tradition materials and methods. Its a coherent attitude. NOT a little bit of this and a little bit of that jumping from piece to piece. there is VISION.

no, as you know I am just looking (for now) - LOL

Iā€™m not sure Iā€™m there yet on the Elegante.

But I love the look, love the case, love the idea of it being truly an everyday Journe. And of course love the strap choices. Anyway, back to Journe Fridays for me and I had specifically planned ahead to have the CTS on wrist today. Hereā€™s a live shot. Lo...

well, sir. I happen to have a crystal ball....

Well, the reality is it may be the only Journe I can get my hands on these days.

Also, for me specifically, I like the smaller case and it works well on my wrist. Having Mikeā€™s RQ on the wrist at the weekend, and another Lune (also 40mm) which didnā€™t appear in the pictures I am getting closer to thinking 40mm is OK for me. I still nee...
