Interesting write up.

Thank you for sharing your thoughts and impressions.

I think this is a great model. Very versatile and great for everyday use.

Like Mike, I don’t agree it’s more flashy than a Patek.I. Fact I think it has a more casual aspect to the asymmetric dial design that plays it down a bit. You could have chosen a platinum case and a white dial and this is much more calm. While you have chosen the red gold case and the Havana dial I find that Patek offer several iterations of their most sold watches in pink gold cases, brown dial, blue dials ect. It’s a question of accommodating to different temperaments and it makes sense to offer something different to the most classic configurations.

The Havana dial have taken me some time to appreciate. Not that I didn’t like it but in the past I would have chosen more conservatively. Now I could see myself getting this watch with a Havana dial and for me, a pt case. It’s a really lovely watch and something I believe will hold its long term attraction just as some people have a thing for salmon dials. It kind of grows on you.

Did you finally pull the trigger or is it still a loaner?

Best
