Interesting to hear that. I was thinking back a few months to the last couple I saw for sale in the UK. [nt]

A pretty incredible result. And yes, the Tourbillon went even higher(CHF 1.15m). Overall, Journe has made some pretty significant strides in terms of prices achieved at auction in recent years. ...

Yes, this is amazing. [nt]

Unfortunate for us fans!

Only half-kidding! Somewhere I saw a Resonance listed for over 100K. The brand has taken off in just the time since Christian started the Friday post. I’m thinking 🤔 Anyway you were dead-on about the auction and this piece.

Haha - thank you for your kind words, dear friend.

I felt very influential there - for a sec, LOL

I do agree. Things are moving away from us quickly, at least when it comes to the older or discontinued pieces.

But this is often what happens I guess. Same for those Rolex folks, and the Patek folks too in years past. Good for brand Journe overall though, I’ve no gripe with that.

Spectacular!

Thank you for following the auction. A 38 mm version of this piece will surely look and feel different.

It’s a beautiful piece. I posted about it a few months ago.

Two tone is not everyone’s thing, and mostly not mine. But I had thought this was one of the most beautiful Journe’s I have ever seen. Alas, I don’t have $1m under my bed for a watch! I hope the lucky winner enjoys this piece.

A new era in the brand has begun...

Spot on Jay. I am not surprised at all....We have all sensed this has been coming for a while. Personally I’m crying a bit. Good for the brand, of course. ...

Yes, it does seem to have been obvious that better auction outcomes would come.

But over the fall in HK and now here in Geneva some real large jumps have occurred. These two watches however are outliers, very early, very limited (one unique) and very rarely seen in the market. Apparently it was the same buyer for both (or at least th...

Agreed. These are not production pieces, so not comparable.

However a new level of interest from a broader audience is evident and has been for some time. It is still a very young brand. It was bound to happen at a point. An other thing worth remembering is that if it can go up it can also go down again. Plenty of...

Whilst these are quite extraordinary results for a young brand

What was perhaps more eye popping was the price paid for the 'entry level' Chronometre Bleu: £42,000 against a list of around half that I believe. It will be interesting to see how the retail (specifically new watch) sector of the industry fairs. Pre-owne...

bit a drop lately in my market

In the USA, CB peaked at a little over 50k USD recently, seems to be trending lower now.

Just a kind, gentle reminder for you guys

To steer you guys away from discussing street prices of watches, as our forum rules don’t permit this. (The general market value of the CB) I know this can seem a bit tempting when we are discussing the news of these spectacular auction results. We just n...
