Only half-kidding! Somewhere I saw a Resonance listed for over 100K. The brand has taken off in just the time since Christian started the Friday post. I’m thinking 🤔 Anyway you were dead-on about the auction and this piece.

I felt very influential there - for a sec, LOL

But this is often what happens I guess. Same for those Rolex folks, and the Patek folks too in years past. Good for brand Journe overall though, I’ve no gripe with that.

Thank you for following the auction. A 38 mm version of this piece will surely look and feel different.

Two tone is not everyone’s thing, and mostly not mine. But I had thought this was one of the most beautiful Journe’s I have ever seen. Alas, I don’t have $1m under my bed for a watch! I hope the lucky winner enjoys this piece.

What was perhaps more eye popping was the price paid for the 'entry level' Chronometre Bleu: £42,000 against a list of around half that I believe. It will be interesting to see how the retail (specifically new watch) sector of the industry fairs. Pre-owne...
