I feel watch collecting has taken a weird turn where entry level is no longer entry level.

5711, Royal Oak, CB, etc.—the fact that these are now more difficult to obtain than models triple their cost means that these brands almost don’t really have a true entry level. That said, I think it says a lot about FPJ that the entry level—or whatever we call it—is such a magnificent piece that it’s worthy of being a grail for many people out there!
