This is very true, Patrick
The Chronometre Souverain will remain on of my all time favorites as it has for the past almost 13 years. It’s extremely wearable with a warm and distinctive elegant design - yet it is still discrete. I wore it Friday morning where it wouldn’t have been appropriate to show up wearing “an expensive watch”. It’s not flashy in a way and it still has a presence.
The 1304 movement is fantastic. Razor precise and beautiful at the same time.
If you only want one Journe then I would highly recommend this one.

As I get older, I find that I'm gravitating towards simpler movements. Perpetual calendars are just a pain to set now. And I never forget what month it is.
Haha yes the eyes are becoming a factor for me as well.
If it continues like this, the only complication I can enjoy in the end will be a minute repeater 😂
Ahh, the minute repeater is definitely a nice one to have in the collection!
I'd get a simple one. No need to get one of those super complex ones with a perpetual calendar and a Tourbillon all combined.
I'd be timing how quickly everyone rushes to the dining table!
1-2-3, ring the gong, "dinner is served!" Start the stop watch... I can imagine everyone seated in just a few seconds! Bon appetite!
