The new FP Journe Chronometre Souverain Dubai edition . Limited edition of 99

 By: Watchonthewrist : September 16th, 2020-01:19
I wish to congratulate Shani (old member of this forum)with his latest edition to his amazing collection. I really like the Green overall look of the watch a lot . I guess this watch will be sold out before this posts will disappear on your timeline ๐Ÿ˜ฌ. Ne...

Yes already sold out [nt]

By: Mohannad (aka Riddler) : September 16th, 2020-01:24
No message body Also 20 of the 99 pieces will have Hindi numbers

Nice colour!

 By: janef : September 16th, 2020-01:59
Are those applied markers/numerals? Thank you for sharing! ๐Ÿฅ‚ Jen

Very beautiful watch

 By: Weems@8 : September 16th, 2020-02:03
It have a nice lime green color. Many people loves lime color, so it is strange so little watches have a lime colored dial.

good dial...i like the raised numerals !

 By: mahesh : September 16th, 2020-02:12
sure a strap contrasting it will put the dial even more in the radar imho Best, mahesh.,

Love it !!! [nt]

 By: Passionata_george : September 16th, 2020-02:16

I had heard this was coming (and of course already sold out).

 By: Jay (Eire) : September 16th, 2020-03:24
I do very much like this variant of the CS (as I do the CB without the PR), and what I assume are now applied numerals. The green being used here looks very good, but hard to tell without seeing in person. This is another great (and fun) piece in what is ...

Just a random thought:

 By: Spangles - Mr. Tabby : September 16th, 2020-08:17
if the CB is scaling down in production and likely to be discountinued and this is due in part to the dial and tantalum case, have you thought of asking that the movement (CS no PR) be used in a limited edition for WPS? Special dial either in color (the w...

Personally I have asked the Boutique about a special order like this; they just laughed (honestly).

 By: Jay (Eire) : September 16th, 2020-09:33
In the context of WPS then this is really a question for Christian. It is something I would support and like to participate in should it ever gain legs. And for sure, Journe has created limited runs / batch special orders for less significant groups/suppo...

I am in...

 By: keks : September 16th, 2020-09:41
For the wps version... please Christian make it happen!!

If there are enough showing interest I can ask!

 By: ChristianDK : September 16th, 2020-10:08
However, I think doing a limited series is becoming difficult. If you order an FPJ watch now, it is allocated well in to next yearโ€™s production. Demand is high and production has a cap. So donโ€™t get your hopes to high.

We can always ask ๐Ÿ˜‰.

 By: Watchonthewrist : September 16th, 2020-11:35
I think its a great idea

๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ˜Š [nt]

+1 [nt]

 By: Nicetomeetyou : September 16th, 2020-16:07
This new CS dial is most appealing. Loss of the PR at 3 is actually a plus! Bringing back 38mm would be a dream.

I would consider a 38mm a dream as well.

 By: BigAppleBill : September 16th, 2020-17:05
The possibilities are probably somewhere between slim and none. But at least itโ€™s fun to dream.

A dream it shall remain.

 By: Nicetomeetyou : September 17th, 2020-09:26
Do you know if future CS will have this same dial configuration? (No PR, applied numerals and centre circle) or was this just for the limited edition? I did previously try on the 40mm. Luckily it does just fit Have you by any chance seen the blue-mauve on...

Only the good lord knows! (mr J)

 By: ChristianDK : September 17th, 2020-11:06
About the mauve color, i think it is a purple blue. It made me think of lavendar. I really, really liked it when I saw it. especially in combination with the textured Pt. they compliment each other in a really nice way!

Sign me up! [nt]

I didnโ€™t mean to put you on the spot, but at the same time this discussion canโ€™t happen without you and others behind the scenes here.

 By: Jay (Eire) : September 16th, 2020-16:10
It doesnโ€™t hurt to ask. My sense is that if we wanted 10 special Optimums that would be less problematic than 10 special CS. (I am NOT proposing the Optimum as base for any potential project, just using it as an example that Dollars or Swiss Francs may ma...

For individuals, 200k in previous purchases is the point at which you may request a custom dial.

 By: Spangles - Mr. Tabby : September 17th, 2020-10:08
According to a boutique, who hastened to add that custom dials must be approved by Mr. Journe himself. Someone proposed a Sonnerie Souverain with a custom dial and Mr. Journe rejected the sale outright, turning down a large sale over a look which he didn'...

I would love that! [nt]

More to explore, but the reduction in production is a trend which is not a friend.

 By: Spangles - Mr. Tabby : September 16th, 2020-10:47
I mean, maybe it's good for us who already have a CB. Overall, I wonder if the shift to higher end models (a trend confirmed by a boutique) isn't part of where the brand is heading?

Makes sense.

 By: Journe1304 : September 16th, 2020-16:49
I knew production numbers have been below the 900 number that everyone throws around, and this year in particular Iโ€™m sure the numbers will take a staggering hit. But if the general trend is to favor the higher end, I can see the CB going away at some poi...

Although you know already, the reason for the drop in numbers may be illuminating for some readers.

 By: Spangles - Mr. Tabby : September 16th, 2020-17:48
Before that, I should say that Mr. Journe has confirmed a drop in production of the CB, specifically. So, production of that model is declining from its original yearly number even as demand increases. That points to an eventual production halt for it. As...

I think it would be a amazing idea to ask them to make a special WPS watch .

 By: Watchonthewrist : September 16th, 2020-11:33
I would def jump on that boat for sure ๐Ÿค—

I didnโ€™t know it was coming and it hit me by surprise when i saw his pics

I would love to see one in person one day .

I will have no illusions .

Still a amazing FPJ

Not a fan of this particular color green, but...

 By: vitalsigns : September 16th, 2020-05:45
I like that this one omits the power reserve. Very pure dial layout. I hope FPJ releases more like it without the PR on the dial side, and with subtle dial colors. Cheers, John

Exactly my thoughts too [nt]

 By: Watchonthewrist : September 16th, 2020-11:49

The applied numerals are great

 By: ChristianDK : September 16th, 2020-10:14
The color is a matter personal preference. I wish it had been darker, but I generally go for more subtle colors. I believe that it is already sold out. Here is a picture from. Y recent visit in Geneva. For some reason I forgot to take a wrist shot. ...

I do like it a lot , ofcourse a subtle color is a more saver choice but this green suits this watch perfect imho

 By: Watchonthewrist : September 16th, 2020-11:54
Hope to get the chance to see one in person one day ๐Ÿ™๐Ÿป thanks for you pic my friend .

Whatโ€™s the dial material? Lacquer, like the CB?

Sorry I donโ€™t have any additional information about this great green watch

 By: Watchonthewrist : September 16th, 2020-11:55
Maybe Christian can help us out ?

Additional information on Ref. CSD

 By: shani : September 16th, 2020-13:56
The dial is gold with galvanoplastie (electroplating) in an Olive color. It does not have a lacquer finish like the CB. The numerals and hands are brushed, rhodium plated. The numerals are applied. It comes in a platinum, 40mm case. Limited edition of 99 ...

You have one of the most beautiful FPJs collection ever

By: Mohannad (aka Riddler) : September 17th, 2020-06:10
The optimum with the red S is just to die for

Toxic green!

 By: mrds : September 16th, 2020-12:02
Not the color of your everyday watch, but a great choice for a special piece. Me likes! Pt case? Thanks for sharing! Daniel

Hi Mike, so happy to know you are still around here ๐Ÿ˜ƒ๐Ÿ‘
