Although I like Patrick's answer, I will also answer your question:

Literally no FPJ watch is not respected among FPJ collectors, even the idea of that is absurd. If you want collectible (which is an idea based on what people outside of yourself like versus finding the strength of character to discover your own taste), then you should look for early brass movement era FPJs in excellent condition, etc.

Hi everyone… i am new to the Fp Journe world. I am a Patek collector with few pieces ranging from Nautilus to world timer, annual calendar, pilot and Grand complications… i am getting interested in the Journe and being offered a platinum CS below, 2021 ( ...

I can only tell you how I would approach the issue. The very first thing I would do is inspect the collection and understand its basis, what the themes are, where my interests are and what I want to achieve collectively. The second thing I’ll do is inspec...

Thanks Gatsby…. My question is…

As a Journe expert, is this watch collectible and is it respected among Journe collectors? As i said, i can easily answer all those qiesrions on the Patek line up but Journe is completely new to me

Why are you so concerned with what other people think?

When I buy a watch, I care about my opinion and my opinion only. Sail your own ship! Your screen name is "Watches_passion" but the passion I see here is more concern about what's "collectible" and what is "respected." Respect is when someone sees you buyi...

Here’s my answer to your question specific to the CS

Francois-Paul gave GEORGE DANIELS a CS as a gift. The classic version in platinum. If that doesn’t qualify for respectable I don’t know what does.

Great post!

That's exactly how my interest in FP Journe started two years ago. Buy the watches because you like them for what they are by inspecting them closely in person. The first Journe I fell in love with was the platinum CS with the Havana dial which I love dea...

F collectivity and the respect of others. Basically every Journe has its unique charms. The one you are looking at is the iconic reference — the one that Journe turned into a giant clock and hung outside his shop. And it’s on the rare side with the reflec...

+1. Well said!

If we all cared about collectivity and respect of others, all we would have on this website would be Nautiluses and Daytonas. Even great brands like Vacheron Constantin which aren't currently in vogue would be forgotten!

so true

It’s all about your own taste.

I’ll echo what others have said about not worrying about what’s respected and collectible. I own a ‘respected’ and sought-after piece, the Chronometre Bleu, but I bought it years ago before it took on a life of its own. But I also own an older Octa Sport ...

and it's pretty hard to go wrong with FP's pieces given the thought he puts into each one (not to exclude those which have quartz components, those which he makes but on which he does not put his name on the dial, and those on which he collaborates).
