When you say can’t determine the delivery schedule do you mean “no idea” or “imminent, a few weeks, but don’t know exact date”.

There’s a big difference and I don’t understand why they’d ask for full payment if there is “no idea” of when the watches will be delivered.

And, are you sure about the no refund policy?

I agree with you that it’s weird to pay a full deposit on a watch that hasn’t arrived yet

Agree with your comment

I can’t agree with that policy

Have you asked whether they would return the full payment if you changed your mind about one or both pieces?

It’s not like there isn’t someone waiting inches behind you to take them the same day.

Well...look at it this way...

They are testing your leap of faith and at least they didn't refund you the initial deposit and said sorry, no watches for you. At that point I think you will be more furious. Also, they don't even take deposits from walk in customers, probably nowadays s...

You've committed to the next pieces that arrive.

Those pieces are set to come in the next period of time, be it a quarter, or whatever. Now, you make the remainder of your payment. Sounds reasonable for an independent watchmaker making a piece to order. Now, that's what an FPJ is and we may not quite be...

Previous Experience with HK Boutique

 By: JohnJohn : October 21st, 2021-01:51
30% deposit is standard with HK Boutique. I paid the same amount when I placed the orders in the past. When picking up the watch, they will collect the reminding balance. If you are feeling uncomfortable with their request, should contact the HQ. They are...
