I love how changing of the strap can change the personality of a watch. It is particularly noticeable on Journes.

So let’s toast to the good times here and the upcoming weekend..... A small reception as we go on a two week vacation starting today. Miles playing in the background and the wine is great... What Journe are you wearing today?....or just jump in and say hi...

The ever reliable CS.

I have observed the same

Maybe it’s the quick change system...

The Quick change is a great Help. When I travel, I usually just bring one watch and several straps.

 By: ChristianDK : December 18th, 2020-09:39
It makes it worry free and I enjoy the versatility.

Only speaking for myself,

 By: rrregulator : December 18th, 2020-12:03
it is not terribly fiddly to change the buckle, I think if the watch is in rotation with a number of others then extra buckle is not completely necessary. If it is in a smaller collection where you will wear it for more purposes, finding yourself changing...

I understand this but was curious how Christian deals with buckle changes while travelling

I guess all one needs is a spring bar tool.

A toothpick will do.

 By: rrregulator : December 18th, 2020-12:30
Part of what I was getting at, and I could have been more specific, it is really quite easy with no actual tools necessary to carry.

Got it, thanks! 👍

Anytime friend

 By: rrregulator : December 18th, 2020-13:06

Agree, it works

 By: rrregulator : December 18th, 2020-13:06

I like this, taking full advantage of no tool necessary

 By: rrregulator : December 18th, 2020-11:57
Versatility is the name of the game especially with a dial like that, so much can be done with it as the neutrality takes colors on well. I don't know how you could go wrong with any choice on that one.

Yes it’s true. they have the ability to be both formal and casual depending on the strap or even your clothes ...

 By: ChristianDK : December 18th, 2020-09:37
To me that proves the strength of the aesthetics. Thank you for chiming in 😊

Beautiful dial Christian

Thank you so much much 🤗 but THAT....

 By: ChristianDK : December 18th, 2020-09:44
Wow!! The dead seconds in black is stunning. It’s my favorite dial of this watch. Superb 😍😍😍

Thank you Christian! We see it the same way

 By: rrregulator : December 18th, 2020-11:49
This dial works as a perfect backdrop to the subdials and tourbillon, there are many other dials that have their own attraction, but this this one lets the most defining parts of the watch shine imo.

Still on the same strap it came with

Beautiful combo

 By: rrregulator : December 18th, 2020-08:29
For that case with the Havana

Thanks! Can't wait to experiment with other straps

Sometimes you hit it on the head from the outset.

Sometimes the matchy works and sometimes it's something very different that lights the spark.

Hello

Hi Christian: sorry to say hat my daytrading career has not

By: COUNT DE MONET : December 18th, 2020-12:13
been as such successful that a FPJ could be materialised for myself. I am working on it and wish you a nice Friday evening 🥃.

So nice of you to swing by dear. Count. It’s always great to read you! I hope you are doing well..

 By: ChristianDK : December 18th, 2020-12:46
Daytrading is way too complicated for me. Still I hope you will get a Journe at some point. I think you will enjoy it. I suppose you guys are in a lockdown now. Ours starts on Sunday. I will make the best of it. My only concern is that I didn’t buy enough...

Looking backwards...not my watch but I did think about it.

 By: Jay (Eire) : December 18th, 2020-12:25
Cheating a little. From almost 4 years ago, when I was thinking about adding something “custardy”. It didn’t sing loud enough to me in the metal and so I moved on. ...

Not cheating, dear friend. This is a great one with moon . I do understand what you are saying about the custardy though. It never totally worked for me.

 By: ChristianDK : December 18th, 2020-12:53
However, I’m kicking myself daily to just think back to the beginning of this year about what I’ve missed. So much for being careful and sensible. I almost makes me wanna cry, thinking about it. HAGWE a great weekend my friend and thank you for the pictur...

I feel your pain friend

 By: rrregulator : December 18th, 2020-15:51
I am sure many here have examples in their heads, I was just kicking myself yesterday for the same...

Nobody was to know that the clock was running out, although we all knew there could (should) be more and more interest over time.

 By: Jay (Eire) : December 18th, 2020-17:48
For three years I saw several 38mm CS in the same spot and passed upon them again and again. It was (is) a watch I want to own, but it just never made the cut and other things came before. I’m excited about the current production and what we may see in th...

I really like your last comment, Jay. This is so true.

 By: ChristianDK : December 19th, 2020-13:30
Only way is to go forward and the collection is still great. Well said.

All I really hope for is something more sub 40mm.

 By: Jay (Eire) : December 19th, 2020-15:38
Can he use the CB case for something else (yes), will we see the 38mm return (most likely not based on what I’ve heard people say). 50:50, there’s a chance then. Or, I guess I could just get back onto a weight routine. Adding .5 inch to ones wrist surely ...

Haha. Yes, he is stubbornly refusing to go under 40. So many want the 38 back.

 By: ChristianDK : December 20th, 2020-04:54
I complemented the 39 mm case as the perfect size. He got very quiet as if he was thinking about. I won’t get my hopes to height though.

Happy FP Friday all! ‘69’er today :)

 By: ChristianDK : December 19th, 2020-13:22
HAGWE to you and this beautiful piece!

Got it today just to ride on this post. CS RG 40mm ...

Not bad for a first - Congratulations 👌

Settled on this after getting alot of good answers for my first post in this forum. Acted on a good deal and here I am

Wow jimmy! That is a great start. Isn’t it just a great watch! I know I love this!

 By: ChristianDK : December 19th, 2020-13:24
This was the one you asked about previously, I guess? I’m eager to hear how you worked it out in the end? HAGWE to you!

HAGWE to you too Christian

 By: Jimmy Kay : December 19th, 2020-15:14
Yes this was the one of the two I was immediately smitten with, the other being Octa Lune in platinum. There was a chance to grab this at a very reasonable price second hand so I took it! Can’t believed it arrived just in time for Christmas. Now I have on...

I think that’s the right way to get in to the game. Try it out with one of the best in the catalogue

 By: ChristianDK : December 20th, 2020-01:00
And see if you like it. If anyone here is based in Sidney, I hope you will reach out to to Jimmy!

Thank you Jay

Exhausted my watch budget for a while so most I can do is think about changing straps!
