A Journe day today. Anyone else with Journe on the wrist (or the mind) today?
While the CB is for sure a favourite watch of mine I've found it's had much less wrist time in the last year or so. This is something I need to correct going forward! ...
It's actually not titanium,
But tantalum. It looks somewhat like titanium, but has this blue color ;-) very difficult to work with and therefore not used very much in watches.
It is quite complicated, in fact :-)
I was at the case manufacture last week and I am preparing a post about the tantalum case. It is certainly more complicated than platinum. Best Christian

Wait Time for CB
I like this one. Sent the Miami store an inquiry last week for wait time, and they responded over 5 years. Shrug.
Production was purposely reduced
And significantly since it will be only 200 pieces a year. Fun factor is FP Journe produces a bit less than 700 timepieces of which more than half are CB....
Lowering the production this year
I was told by personel from Journe that they will manufacture about 100 CBs in 2019
CB production has never been in the 200 pieces range. As statee said it will be 100 this year. It was 110 in 2017... 2018 production was somewhere in that range as well.
It wasn't purposely reduced either since they had issues with the dials since it only has a 30% success rate.
The numbers a more like what cmmnsns state.
No reduction of production but the CB has suddenly gained a lot of popularity. 5 years ago - you could could pick up a used one for a song.
A "song" indeed. I had a spreadsheet of all list / asking prices across various forums and seller / dealer sites for the CB from around that time.
The price trend was slowly downward. I stoped tracking when I got mine and honestly paid little attention to prices until the summer before last when two CB's went for a crazy price (the same price actually) at two different auction houses. Those sales se...
