My understanding from FPJ sales reps is that it was only ever meant for surface-level water activity, so 30m will cut it.
However, more worrisome for me is that the crown doesn’t screw down. I would be fine with 3m let alone 30m if the crown screwed down to better protect against an accumulation of crud (e.g. sea salt, sweat, etc.). I feel 100% confident in my Panerai 111’s ability to keep out my infant son’s lunch of puréed prunes, as he smeared them all over my hands in the picture below. I’m not certain the Octa Sport would do the same over time.
