Just received. Not a wrist shot but hopefully can provide a decent look at the color and texture. It’s a very nice quality, just needs another hole or two for regular wear, for me. The last two marks on the long end are just pen marks that I made. ...  

Although it still looks like a good combo. Can you tell us more about the strap?

Really like the stitching! Who made this strap?

But that’s just the lighting or image processing / camera. It is a rich medium to dark grey to the eye. Really pairs well with the CB, and the contrast stitching complements the overall look nicely without distracting, IMO. It’s an FP Journe strap althoug...

JR doesn't typically do contrast stitching on alcantara (due to the material properties). The stitching here does not appear to be one of the available contrast threads, although again the post processing may be the reason, as OP noted. BTW, JR is a bouti... 

FPJ supplies JR with the OEM quick-release springbars, but straps made with these are only available through the FPJ boutiques. JR will of course make straps for any watch, they just won't come with the FPJ springbars.

Doesn't ACM sell straps for FPJ with sprinbars?

I'm not aware. They might also not be the FPJ OEM springbars. For example, the JR London boutique doesn't have any relationship with FPJ but will bend quick-release springbars to fit, on request.

They do - and the straps come with the necessary curved spring bars. I bought a pair of ACM straps where the spring bars did not fit correctly. The straps simply came off when twisted slightly. This has been corrected and I now have two new straps from AC...

Mine are the Istanbul and the Helsinki. Please be aware that they come in two lengths. The short one is....short! Claus

Regular strap: 110 + 75 mm (4.33 + 2.95 in.) Short strap: 105 + 70 mm (4.13 + 2.76 in.)
