Great post and great picture…

You a summing it up perfectly. It’s sometimes annoys me that it has become so overhyped. Well, so many watches have these days. I think your picture males me  go to the bank later this week to get mine out.

The Chronometre Bleu, the ultimate in hype unfortunately. Despite that this watch remains my most favourite. It was a fast favourite for me because it was so versatile, because of the size (both diameter and relative slimness of the case), the easy nature...

See ya tomorrow 💙

An excellent post and also (still) my favorite watch.

The only downside is the recent hype. I used to wear it more often — to the office and to casual events & dinners without thinking. It’s still relatively under the radar, but I sometimes find myself pausing to think about where I might be going on a p...

You and me both Bill.

Did I miss that? Or just forget. In any event congratulations if I’d not acknowledged this addition before.

Not the same strap, mine is a turquoise, which would look great on that CS too. You picked a great contemporary version of the CS.

So, no longer a great watch?

Don’t forget: we’re the hypers.

I’m not suggesting we stop posting about the CB but we generate the hype when we do. Now:let me help. Oops! ...

Yes, yes it was.

I’m with you. I wouldn’t mind rolling back maybe 3-4 years when it was still popular but not at todays level.

It’s a great watch, and it was my daily and my travel watch (because it was so versatile and it was under the radar). It’s no longer either of those.

For me, the size is indeed perfect at 39mm. The color of the Tantalum case contrasts so well with the blue dial as well. Really cannot think of anything I would change which is saying a lot 🤣🤣

Well, maybe an openwork version but that already exist with the Byblos although slightly different blue dial 🤷‍♂️

I have unfortunately found that the 39mm case is just about perfect for me too. Shame there are no more.

I will say I didn’t find the Byblos appealing at all. One of the big design fails for me in the Journe catalogue. And for me it was for many years the perfect watch. It isn’t that any more as it’s not as wearable as it was, which was a factor in why I tho...

This reference is still in my bucket list, unfortunately

You are not alone in that.

I was fortunate to buy this many years ago when one could easily have one at the Boutique or AD or for a big discount in the second hand market. Times have changed.

Wow

I guess it’s one piece to be treasured. And yes times have definitely changed with the soaring pre owned market for some popular brands. It’s crazy. I am treasuring my 16710 pepsi, knowing that i am likely not able to afford the new one 😂

Thanks ….
