My small gripe with many FPJ is all the writing on the dial. Otherwise splendid watch
Interesting that you should say that.
That’s also for me the one objection I have to Journes. I’ve obviously overcome that.
I think it's kind of like Rolex...
...it comes with the territory and you sort of don't even see it anymore... But if the writing is to be there, my BIGGEST gripe is the kerning...it is atrocious. Default setting in MS Word would do a better job. Kind of unforgivable at this price level.

It’s impossible to photograph under the circumstances you did.. I know because I tried. BTW. Notice the hotdog in the background on the last picture. This was a quick and dirty while the watchmaker was on his lunch break.

Not sure why but I never asked them to take it out of the case when I was there last. I guess it just has no appeal for me.
I'm not sold on it either.
But with the right confluence of events: I live; the Boutique opens; my car starts; I will definitely ask William (if...) to take it out of the case.
