An independent, still run by its genius watchmaking founder, small but large enough to have a constellation of international boutiques making sales and (most importantly) service easier, financially secure: That's an ideal case and it's what Journe has achieved.
Smaller indies like Moser or LF/DeBethune (these two always seem on the edge of collapse to me, somehow) really need ADs to champion them and I think they are a better fit for Govberg.
ALS will likely move as part of a Richemont group initiative toward more online and boutique only, but I'm not sure ADs are out for a few years. We'll see. The rise of applications needed for high-end pieces shows where ALS is headed.
