One of my favorite FPJ references...
...but I hate (with a passion) that the date doesn't start with '1' at the bottom...and that the numbers were 'flipped' at '19.'
I know I'm beat a dead horse...
...but this kind of 'flaw' is so basic and so easy to remedy. FPJ is by no means the only offender, but there is no excuse for bad design/UI...
I don't have time to mock it up...
...but I think it would look great. Not flipping the date/days/months is part of what makes this AP a masterpiece of dial design... ...
To your point, the numerals are not flipped on Journes dials. In the case of the date, to stay consistent, maybe the numerals shouldn’t be flipped.
With regards to 1 or 31 at the bottom, as long as the date arm follows the correct trajectory… not like the PR indicator where it display Kaye’s how many hours was the last time you wound it… Anyways, all this being said, I truly enjoy these Calendriers ...
