Who's afraid of tonneau-shaped watches?
These tonneau or barrel-shaped watches are not to everybody's taste, but I find them interesting and they share such a strong family resemblance:

True! The tortue is just a little less
elongated. A little closer to a square than to a rectangle: would you agree? And the Roman numerals have a different look, compared to the Arabic ones. But great model nonetheless, for sure. Thanks for sharing your nice pic. Best, Emmanuel

Because the tonneau shape is less elongated than the one of the above models, I would tend to say that it belongs to another sort of tonneau shape, which includes (among others) the Cartier Tortue and Vacheron's ref. 31150, which is very close in design. ...

thanks for sharing. For me, the less elongated tonneau shape of your watch places it in the same design family as the Patek 5030, the VC 31150 and the Cartier Tortue. Best, Emmanuel
