Were they the original inventors of bracelets for watches?

due to the roundness of the links, its retains its luster and show scratches much less than most. The watch you show is a scratch magnet with normal wear as is the AP RO.

The AP RO and the Nautilus, quite significantly IMO, lose much of their appeal (to me) when polished over the years...but more so the RO than the Nautilus. The older generation Rolexes (subs, daytonas, sea dwellers, etc.) seem to still do OK after polishe... 

As for the Structure, a modern bracelet from Rolex ( Oyster ) is hard to beat. As for the ageing of the finish, a polished area is not top. Best, Nicolas

Let me first say that I am a fan of watches on bracelets. I find them to be versatile and comfortable, and don\'t have to think about the leather of the strap and whether it matches or contrasts with belt and shoes. My dad has been wearing the same Rolex ... 

Rivet bracelets and folded link can look a bit worn, and the newer polished center links don\'t wear so well. So I\'m going with the 5 digit reference post-folded link bracelets. The patina wears nicely and compliments the case of these references IMO

The aim of the Q is to determine if the dazzle/bling contributes to the purchase decision - what wud we pick based on pure blueprints?

In contrast, my 10y old RO has not aged so well. Part of the charm of the RO lies in the sharp angular edges, and time tends to dull those edges. From a vintage perspective, I find the Omega \'beads-of-rice\' bracelets very charming even half a century la...  

comes to RO or Nautilus but used polished repolished Rolex bracelets are more acceptable?
