Watch of the Day: jaeger Lecoultre Master Control Yellow Gold, 1992.

In the 1993 Catalog, it is written: " The closer you look at the Master Control, the more vivid your memories of the Fifties and the automatics famous back then "...

And they linked it to the Futurematic, which indeed belongs to the Fifties.

But the Master Control is more clearly an evocation of the Geomatic, objectively, and of the Early Sixties, with its dial featuring a date, AND the fact that this reference is, like the Geomatic, linked to accuracy.

We don't have to forget that the Master Control is the first watch from JLC to be submitted to the Master 1000 Hours.

It was in 1992.

Here is a specimen I found in my hard disc, in yellow gold.

37 mm case,

Medaillon on the solid case back

Hiding and protecting the famous Cal 889:

This watch was available in steel, yellow and rose gold.

A true JLC, affordable, as it was a first entry, but serious, well built.

And as said, closely linked to the Geomatic:

Best,

Nicolas
